The British Fashion Council will once again be looking to the public to decide the winner of the British Style Award 2012 brought to you by Vodafone. The award, which was won by Alexa Chung in 2010 and 2011, will be presented at this year’s British Fashion Awards.
This award is to recognise an individual who most embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital.
The British Style Award is based on the success of the London 25 Award, introduced in 2009 as part of the BFC’s 25th anniversary celebrations and awarded to Kate Moss. The award is decided entirely by public vote and a list of nominees has been complied by a panel of key industry opinion formers. The nominees this year include Cara Delevingne, David Gandy, Florence Welch, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tinie Tempah and Victoria Beckham.
Voting is open from the 3rd September until 31st October 2012 and the winner will be announced at the British Fashion Awards on the 27th November 2012. Members of the public are invited to vote through the British Fashion Awards website www.britishfashionawards.com/britishstyle and voters will be entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to attend the British Fashion Awards ceremony.
The British Fashion Awards recognise the most influential people in fashion today and will celebrate the excellence in British fashion through awards such as Designer of the Year, Designer Brand, Accessory Designer, Menswear Designer and three Emerging Talent Award’s which recognise designers as they establish their fashion businesses. Other awards that will be presented on the night include Outstanding Achievement in Fashion, Model and the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator.
To raise donations for Save The Children, the official charity of the British Fashion Awards 2012, the BFC are encouraging voters to make a donation through Save the Children’s official JustGiving webpage at www.justgiving.com/britishfashionawards.
